It has been a great summer for sports; the UEFA Euro 2016, Wimbledon, The Tour de France and now the Olympics. I always wanted to run in the Olympics, but didn't make it beyond the trials. At least I can participate in the Knitting Olympics. The yarn harlot http://www.yarnharlot.ca/ popularized this during the 2006 Olympics. The rules are simple, you cast-on during the opening ceremony, and complete the project by the closing ceremony. In traditional Olympic spirit, I grabbed my needles, yarn, shed my clothes and will have a blanket to cover me by the closing ceremony.
