I am heading to Denmark in a few weeks to attend one of my favourite festivals, Strikkefestival Fano, and to give a talk in Saeby on the Canadian men's knitting scene. Once again I will be sporting my knitted balls. If I have as much luck as I had last year, I will find some beautiful Danes who will have fun with them.
I am heading to Denmark again this fall to teach a workshop at one of the best Knitting Festivals in Europe, Strikkefestival Fano in Denmark and to shoot a documentary on Men's Knitting. I am pulling together a group of knitters and would love you to be part of our team.
I am still amazed at my age to be so wired the night before the Men's Spring Knitting Retreat (MSKR). Sleep is not an option. I just want to get into my car and head to Easton Mountain. The MSKR is always an incredible experience for me, and I feel so fortunate to a part of it's magic. I owe thanks to Joe Wilcox and Ted Myatt for starting the MSKR, influencing other great Men's Knitting Retreats in the US, Canada and the UK, and providing a forum for men to get together and knit. At this year's retreat I reacquainted with old friends, made new ones, and picked up a new skill: weaving.
World AIDS Day & The Red Scarf Project
My daughter told me about the Red Scarf project in Peterborough and thought I might be interested. I saw this as an opportunity to participate in an HIV/AIDS initiative in a community outside of Toronto.
