Shetland

Shetland
Shetland is much sought after for its fine, silky fleece with its variety of uses and wide range of textiles. Developed over a thousand years on the Shetland Isles off the coast of Northern Scotland, the harsh and rugged conditions make them ideally suited in Canadian climates. The fleece also varies in patterning with a range of 11 natural colours. The micro count ranges from 20-25 with an average 4 inch staple length. It's an excellent wool for experienced and new knitters. It's the wool to use in traditional Fair Isle knitting and great for creativity in any garment, gentle and soft against the skin.
