The Alicia shawl is designed by David Browning to raise funds for Gary Boston's Aids/LifeCycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
This is an easy shawl that can be sized for the wearer. It can be used as a shawl or a scarf. Choice of yarn is flexible, although variegated and self-striping yarns work very well. It is a variation of the classic boomerang shawl, with filet work on some rows.
I used one of my favourite yarn bases for this pattern. Polwarth is a great yarn to dye with because it has the luster of Lincoln and the soft qualities of Merino.
For colour I used Indigo, Walnut, and Madder.
$30 from each kit will be donated to Gary Boston's Aids/LifeCycle ride.
